This image is of two of the 2,000+ children from tent cities in Haiti who attend the camps supported by Friends of the Orphans for a nutritious meal each day.

Here is an example of how tax deductible donations are used:
$10: A blanket for one child
$20: A pair of shoes for one child
$40: Cholera treatment for one patient
$50: Meals and snacks for 20 children for one day
$100: Anti-retroviral medication for an HIV+ child
$500: Milk for 52 children for one month

*The costs listed represent average expenses. Donations will be used where most needed.

By creating families for life through values of unconditional love, shared responsibility and education, the outreach programs and homes supported by Friends of the Orphans transform the lives of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children in the poorest areas of Latin America and the Caribbean, including Haiti. In 2009, their outreach programs assisted 83,000 children and adults. And in 2010, after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, their staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide thousands in need with medical care, food and shelter—continuing to provide relief today.
